Nolan Pennington
My journey in media began in 2016 when I joined the military as a mass communication specialist. My primary schooling through the Navy provided me with the educational foundation of storytelling through multimedia.
In 2022, I received additional training through the Navy when I attended the Intermediate Photojournalism course at the Defense Information School in Fort Meade, Maryland. The course refined abilities and my understanding of journalism. The course helped me adopt new communication strategies, and the course refined my multimedia editing techniques.
I have accumulated a diverse range of freelance, volunteer, and on-the-job experience; both serving in the Navy, and in my own personal capacity. My portfolio encompasses almost every popular genre of photography. I also dabble in videography and capturing drone footage.
I have been telling the Navy’s story for almost a decade, but now it is time for me to find yours.
